Key Lime Interactive and UserZoom, the leaders in customer experience research, announced today that Hilton ranks #1 for search usability in their recently syndicated user experience study.
DORAL, FL, August 10, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Key Lime Interactive and UserZoom, the leaders in customer experience research, announced today that Hilton ranks #1 for search usability in their recently syndicated user experience study. The online usability study had panelists complete two search usability tasks: (1) Find a beach destination hotel; and (2) Find a parking rate at a specific hotel. The websites analyzed included Hilton, Hyatt, InterContinental Hotels Group, Marriott, and Sheraton. 95% of Hilton.com visitors were able to successfully find a beach destination hotel within 2 miles of the beach. The new Marriott.com site leads in terms of ease of use, and IHG.com leads in terms of satisfaction with the amount of time it takes to find a beach destination. When users where asked to find a parking rate, Marriott had the highest success rate and participants found it easiest to navigate. Nonetheless, both brand perception and the likelihood to recommend metrics were low, indicating that there is opportunity for all said brands to improve the customer search experiences for themed destinations and finding specific information about hotels.
